PBA: Kathryn Bernardo, Sarah G among shining stars in opening ceremony

Actress Kathryn Bernardo and newlywed Sarah Geronimo-Guidicelli stole the spotlight Sunday night during the 45th PBA Season opening ceremony.

Clad in blue dress, the 23-year-old actress donned the colors of the Magnolia Hotshots while the 31-year-old singer represented the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters wearing a teal dress.

Taekwondo jin Pauline Lopez, 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, joined the NLEX Road Warriors sporting the color blue as well.

Christine Patrimonio and Alyssa Muhlach, daughters of former PBA stars, both dressed all white for the NorthPort Batang Pier and the San Miguel Beermen respectively.

Christine is the daughter of PBA legend Alvin Patrimonio while Alyssa Muhlach is the daughter of former PBA star Bong Alvarez to actress Almira Muhlach. She is also the niece of veteran actor Aga Muhlach.

Beauty queens, in addition, graced the opening ceremony namely Katrina Llegado (Columbian Dyip), Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 Chaiyenne Huisman and Mutya ng Pilipinas 2019 Klyza Castro (Rain or Shine), Miss Philippines 2013 Ariella Arida (TNT KaTropa) and Miss Chinatown 2017 Joy Wu (Blackwater Elite).

Completing the cast of 2020 PBA Muses are actress Sanya Lopez of the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Gin Kings and Alaska Aces’ Zowie Palliaer.

Earlier, San Miguel Beer’s June Mar Fajardo bagged the Most Valuable Player plum and CJ Perez captured the Rookie of the Year honor in the 44th Leo Awards. (Jan Carlo Anolin) ###
