A source said the Red Lions point guard apparently has also failed to communicate with team officials.

According to another source, Nelle is considering a transfer to De La Salle in the UAAP since newly-appointed Green Archers mentor Derrick Pumaren is said to be a relative.

The Manila Bulletin tried to contact SBU mentor Boyet Fernandez but he not available for comment at posting time.

Nelle won a championship with the Red Lions in 2018. Last season, San Beda lost to archrival Letran in a classic three-game showdown.

He placed second to teammate Calvin Oftana in the MVP race after averaging 10.2 points, a league-best 6.7 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals.

If he decides to leave the Red Lions and play for the Green Archers, he needs to complete a one-year residency and will be eligible to play in the UAAP in 2021.
